Customer’s needs
The Capo Grosso lighthouse on the island of Levanzo is set to become a resort offering activities related to yoga, cooking, photography, events, and other excursions, as part of an international tourism network. It will be transformed into a prestigious tourist attraction, contributing to the development of the island of Levanzo.
The customer’s requirement is to ensure the safety of the structure from lightning strikes.
Solution supplied
To ensure complete protection, the Euthalia Lightning Protection System with Antimpatto® Technology has been installed.
The system consists of:
- External LPS system
- SCT interface (high impedance filter for ground circuit)
- External LPS system components
Main aerial head: installation of Saturn 2 (350 kA)
Secondary correction head: TeS
Aerial filters: SCa 200 kA (one for the Saturno head and one for the balcony reflector)
Ground filter for protection against upward and
indirect discharges: SCt 300 kA.
Thanks to the Antimpatto® System, the Capo Grosso lighthouse is now protected from direct and indirect lightning strikes, ensuring the preservation of the structure and the safety of the surrounding area.
